A fellow baby loss mama we know (who also happened to go to high school with Stephen) recommended us to a photographer for our maternity pictures. We already had plans to go with the lady who did the NILMDTS photos and we still will (the more pictures the merrier) but we simply could not pass up the opportunity (especially on our meager budget) for a free shoot with a cd of pictures. The forecast for the day was rain but I sent a special request to our boys to make sure the rain stayed away while we were doing our photos and it did! No surprise really, Ty and Jacob rock! They even sent us some sunshine to begin with.
Now for anyone who knows me (and one of the few parts remaining that has always been me) I don't like getting pictures taken, I much rather be behind the camera and it's always so nerve wracking to have professional photos done but I have to say, the three photographers we have worked with are awesome! I felt totally natural during all the shoots and I simply cannot wait to see how Bee's pictures turned out. We took a few special ones for after Bee makes herim arrival, perhaps a part of herim's birth announcement. Of course I will post some of the other ones, but I saw some of them It'll be hard to choose just a few (I know the baby loss mama who referred me can totally relate) We never had photos done with Ty, we thought about it and meant too but we never got around to it, just one of those things we figured we could skip and make up for when he was here. We surely did not make that mistake with Jacob and even more so this time, hence the reason we will have a few shoots. Sure some may tire of seeing all the baby pics we have but we know that may be the only photos we get. Even on my facebook page, my album for Ty doesn't have many pictures, then there's Jacob's who has a ton and Bee is at this point getting close to where Jacob was, herim will have plenty! It's what we have, it's what we know we are guaranteed, those precious moments in time when our babies were alive and well, pictures to bring us back to the day and the moment and the forced smiles of excitement to try and hide the fear and anxiety.
Bee enjoy herimself today, kicking away like crazy! I love that herim kicks so much and it's different from my other pregnancies as well. Ty was a morning kicker, I could always rely on his sweet kicks in the morning. Jacob, despite being told that he would not kick was an all day kicker, that little boy was just proving himself to the doctors and now Bee, well herim is a night kicker, sometimes afternoon, rarely morning (which terrifies me to the core, I've already given a pep talk about changing kick times) And since there are a gazillion pictures because I could not choose just a few, we'll end it on that short note. I also included some from our trip to the Butterfly Conservatory yesterday. Mat Pics are from 21 Weeks, and the Butterfly ones and bare belly are from 24 Weeks.
