Chirp, chrip, chrip, what is that sound? It's the sound of crickets running among this page. I know, I know, it has been a while since I posted a thought provoking post (New Year reflections will be coming soon) but between my 3 cats we've been at the vet almost twice a week for the last 3 weeks and have to go again this week and this very spirited 3 year old child of mine, by the time 6:30pm hits (that time when I get some me time) my brain is long gone. It's so long gone that I have started binge watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer again (no shame) and for those who have been fans of this page for awhile, you know it belongs with my Jacob memories. It has meaning but it's so fun to re-watch older shows I watched as a teen (or adult while pregnant and in the hospital for 4 weeks) and just laugh and re-live that time, those moments. I would save that time for sewing, but I've learned my lesson more than once. You need a functioning brain to sew. At least until I do it more and get this sewing thing under my belt, I need my brain on par.
Did I mention over Christmas, Milo got an upper respiratory infection and we now suspect he has an ear infection, Charlie started to cough up red mucus and Hank managed to re-open his eye wound (he had an eye removed due to a bad infection, this was prior to us adopting him, did I even mention we adopted another kitten?) so he is on meds and has the cone of shame going on. These cats of mine, I tell you! I adopted Hank on the premise that he only had an eye missing, he would be our, once a year to the vet cat, but noooo, he has to go and show he fits perfectly into this defunct cat family of ours.
Oh and Bee is almost 3. Excuse me while I go cry over that. Thats all for now folks, Hank needs his medicine before I go to bed and I have to take his cone off so he can scratch his neck for a bit, has to be watched though so he doesnt get his eye wound again. I do also believe I hear the faint cries of a child who is snuggling with her Milo in bed, which is their new favourite and frickin adorable thing to do, if their sleeping that is. Did I use the correct their? Ah fuck it, I'm tired. Goodnight.
