Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of breakfast with my boys. I stopped and picked up a bagel and apple juice at Timmies, packed my lawn chair and drove the 5 minutes it takes to get to them. As I was driving towards their graves I saw three fawns, I stopped and watched for a few moments then made my way over to the boys. I pulled my chair out and was talking with my boys and about 10 minutes after I got there the 3 little fawns came over and played in the children's area where the boys are buried. I just sat there and watched them, it must have been at least 30 minutes before they moved over to the next area. They were so cute and they kept wandering off from each other and then they would make this adorable cry and the other fawns would come running, it was such a peaceful morning. Just sitting there, the sun shinning, the breeze blowing, talking to my boys and admiring the cuteness of the three little babes. I couldn't help but wonder if it was a sign that the boys are protecting their future sibling or if it means we'll have another loss. I choose to see it as protecting a future sibling because one did eventually go off on it's own, kind of like if the boys picked out a really good soul to send to us in the form of our next child, they were protecting it and then it left to come stay with us.
It was just such a peaceful and serene morning, I always find peace in going to the cemetery but to sit and watch three little cuties really topped it off! Nothing was going to ruin my day yesterday after that. It was such a great morning, very refreshing, just what my soul needed.
